what’s new in rollo

every release, newest first. rollo updates itself, so you’re already on the latest one.

1.8teams

brand kits for the whole team

  • brand kits now live at the team level, so every new canvas can start from the same logo, colours, type and reference photos.
  • edit a kit once and rollo offers to update the canvases that use it, one at a time or all together.
  • kits show who changed what last, right in the kit panel.

1.7voice

talk over rollo

  • you can interrupt rollo mid-run. say "wait, make it warmer" and it adjusts the node it's on instead of starting over.
  • voice notes can now be as long as you like. rollo splits a long ramble into separate nodes and asks before it guesses.
  • a new push to talk shortcut, so you can keep your hands on the canvas.
1.6nodes

swap any node

  • replace a node and only the steps after it run again. everything before it stays exactly as you approved it.
  • pin a node to lock it, so a swap upstream never touches it.
  • the marble now pauses on nodes that are waiting for you, so you can see what needs a decision at a glance.
  • undo works across swaps, all the way back to the first version of a canvas.

1.5exports

export everything at once

  • a new export panel collects every finished node on a canvas into one download.
  • naming templates, so files come out as product, size and language in the order your shop expects.
  • exports group into folders by format: square, story, wide and print.
1.4canvas

longer, steadier video

  • rollo motion nodes can now run up to 15 seconds, with a loop option for product turns.
  • video nodes read the reference node too, so products keep their shape and colour from the first frame to the last.
  • scrub any video node right on the canvas without opening it.

1.3nodes

point at anything

  • drop a product photo, a screenshot or a mood board onto the canvas and it becomes a reference node.
  • every node wired to a reference keeps to it, from colours and materials to the angle of the light.
  • paste an image straight from your clipboard, or drag one in from another app.
1.2teams

canvases you can share

  • share a canvas with a link. people you invite can comment on any node without an account.
  • comments sit on the node they're about, and rollo can read them out and act on them when you ask.
  • a view only mode for clients, with downloads turned off until you're ready.
1.1canvas

the first public build

  • rollo for mac and rollo in the browser, with the same canvas on both.
  • brief, image, video and batch nodes, joined by wires, with the marble showing what's running.
  • say what you need and rollo lays out the canvas for you, or build it node by node yourself.
