what cookies are

cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. we also use similar technologies, like local storage, which work the same way. this policy uses "cookies" for all of them.

this policy covers the rollo website and the browser version of rollo, both run by rollo, Inc. the mac app doesn't use browser cookies.

the cookies we use

we keep cookies to a minimum. they fall into three groups:

• essential: keep you signed in, remember your session, protect forms against abuse and keep the service secure. rollo can't work without these.
• preferences: remember choices like monthly or yearly billing on the pricing page, so you don't have to set them again.
• analytics: tell us which pages are visited and how the site performs, in aggregate. we use privacy-friendly analytics that don't track you across other sites.

no advertising cookies

we don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't sell information collected through cookies.

third-party cookies

some essential cookies are set by providers we use to run rollo, like our payment provider when you check out. they may use them only to provide their service to us.

your choices

where the law requires consent, we ask before setting anything other than essential cookies. you can change your mind at any time.

• most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings.
• blocking essential cookies will stop you from signing in to the browser version.
• blocking analytics or preference cookies won't affect how rollo works.

how long they last

session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. other cookies last no longer than 12 months, unless you sign in again or change a setting, which renews them.

changes to this policy

if we start using a new kind of cookie, we'll update this page and, where needed, ask for your consent first.
