the agreement

these terms are an agreement between you and rollo, Inc. ("rollo", "we", "us"). they cover the rollo mac app, the browser version, our website and any related services (together, the "service").

by creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. if you use rollo on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.

your account

you need an account to use most of the service. you must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that's higher.

  • give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • keep your login safe. you're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • tell us straight away at hello@rollo.studio if you think someone else has access to your account.

using rollo

we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing and you follow these terms.

you agree not to:

  • use the service to make anything that's illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that sexualises minors.
  • make content that impersonates a real person or misleads people about who made it in a way that could cause harm.
  • try to get around credit limits, rate limits or other technical limits, or access the service through automated means we haven't approved.
  • copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law allows it.
  • interfere with the service or with other people's use of it.

your content

"your content" means what you bring to rollo, like briefs, voice notes, reference images and brand kits, and what rollo makes for you from it.

you keep ownership of your content. you give us a limited licence to store, process and display it only so we can run the service for you. we don't use your content to train models.

on paid plans, you can use what you make commercially, including in ads, on packaging and in client work. work made on the free plan is for personal use.

you're responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, and for checking that what you publish is suitable for where you publish it. ai-made output can sometimes look like existing work, so review it before you use it.

plans, credits and billing

paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. prices are shown on our pricing page and may not include taxes, which we'll add where required.

  • credits refresh at the start of each billing period and don't roll over.
  • each node shows its credit cost before it runs.
  • upgrades take effect immediately, and we charge the difference for the rest of the period.
  • you can cancel any time from settings. your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. if you think we've charged you by mistake, write to us within 30 days and we'll look into it.

if we change our prices, we'll tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to your plan.

models and third-party services

rollo uses a mix of our own and third-party models and services to make images, video, voice and copy. we choose providers that don't keep or train on your content, and we send each provider only what a step needs.

suspension and closing your account

you can close your account at any time from settings. we may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk. where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

after an account is closed, we delete its content within 30 days, apart from what we must keep for legal or billing reasons. canvases saved on your own computer stay there.

disclaimers

we work hard to keep rollo running well, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". to the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that output will be fit for a particular purpose.

limitation of liability

to the extent the law allows, rollo isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 us dollars.

nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

changes to these terms

we may update these terms as the service changes. if a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. if you keep using rollo after that, the new terms apply.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the state of delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules. if you're a consumer, you also keep any protections the law where you live gives you.
