install rollo on your mac
rollo runs on macos 14 or later, on apple silicon and intel macs. the install takes about a minute.
download the app
go to the download page and click download for mac. you'll get a file called rollo.dmg in your downloads folder.
move it to applications
open rollo.dmg and drag the rollo icon onto the applications folder. you can eject the disk image afterwards.
open rollo and sign in
open rollo from applications or spotlight. sign in with the same email you use in the browser, and your canvases will show up on the left.
allow the microphone
the first time you hold the talk key, macos asks for microphone access. click allow so rollo can hear your voice notes. you can change this later in system settings, under privacy & security.
rollo updates itself in the background. when a new version is ready, you'll see a small note in the bottom corner of the canvas.
