how tidepool built a brand kit that everything else draws from
a small roaster with one wave of a logo and a lot of things to put it on. rollo turned it into a kit the whole team uses.

one wave, many places
tidepool had a mark they loved, a blue wave, and a growing list of places it needed to go: bags, tins, cafe posters, a billboard down the street and every post in between.
aiko set up a brand kit in rollo with the wave, the blue, the cream and a few photos of the roastery. from then on, every canvas the team opened started from it.
swap one node, the rest follow
when they changed the bag from matte to a soft paper finish, aiko swapped the packaging node and every mockup, poster and post downstream updated with it.
the cafe team uses the same kit for their own posters, so the wave looks the same on the wall as it does on the shelf.
swap one node and everything after it updates. that's the whole thing for me, and it's why the kit actually gets used.
aiko tanakabrand and packaging, tidepool
a kit that keeps up
new coffees now start as a copy of the last canvas. the team changes the name and the tasting notes, and the bag, the tin and the posters come along with them.
